Farewell 2011.. Hello Running!

It was after a combat class in Fitness First ABS-CBN way back 2009 when a good friend of mine invited me to join a fun run (Kenny Roger's Roasters Run '09). I was like, hell no.. I can’t do it. But minutes after, I said to myself that sooner or later... I will conquer the roads of Metro Manila and alike..

So when 2010 came, a lot of negative things came to my life. All things that you can imagine whether it will be health, relationships alike, money, career or even myself as a person. It was until a very good friend of mine introduced me to the law of attraction. So I embraced the idea and promised myself to use it starting that day. Then, I remembered Running as one of my soon to be sport. So during 2011 New Year's Eve, I promised to myself to just GO WITH THE FLOW and use Running as its tool and don't be negative or boost up myself to any aspects of life.

I also made a commitment to myself that I must have at least 1 fun run per month. So technically speaking, It was January 2011 when I finally had my first run (5K) ever. Good thing that I was invited by my alma mater (BASTE) to join in their first fun run ever, so that’s more like of a trigger for me to start my new sport. Now here comes Condura Skyway Marathon.. February Run, and I got attracted with their tagline like "Now, the skyway is all yours for you to run and conquer!". This was also my very first 10K. Then the 10K run continues! Unilab RU1 (The Fort) got the March slot, Hyundai Accent Fun Run (Roxas Blvd) for April, Goldilocks (The Fort) and Greentennial Run for May, My Fastest 10K Run to date (1HR and 6mins) is my Mizuno Run for the month of June (The Fort), Rexona Run (MOA) for July (I liked their singlet that’s why I joined.. haha!) then Unilab RU2 for August. On September, I finally decided to take up the challenge and go out of the 10K distance. So I joined The Fort Striders with 16K for the month of September. Mardi Gras (Ansons Run) is for October, so far my worst run ever in terms of performance because it was the first time I had my legs sprained during the run 2 times! No fellow runners who were also on the path helped me to ease the pain. So I self-recovered and just enjoyed slow running. Final Leg for Unilab RU3 for November. Some sub fun runs that we joined that I considered not worth recognizing were QCIM and Pasig Run on early December. Then my December Run is currently my Best Run, which is Corregidor International Half-Marathon, placing 11th place in Mens Division.

During the running year, I met fellow runners/friends as well. The exciting part is that we all have one goal in common, and that is to put Running as part of our lifestyle and enjoy it to the fullest with ourselves and then give back to the others through charity/cause. We already formed a Running Club (Contact me if you are interested in joining as well... it will be fun!) and mostly, we also organize social events in order to release stress from different sides.

So enough with the technicalities of the story.. It was during the middle of the year I realized that I used Running not only as just one of my fitness-related activities, but I used it as an exhaust of the things that I have been thinking of during the year 2010. In Early 2011, a lot of things were crowding my mind and I need to let things loose out in order to survive. During the mentioned running events, I was able to think freely, ignoring all of the hindrances that may stop me from producing a good thought assembled from an old negative thought. I may have a target time for me to finish my run. But my real goal is to move out from the dark shadows of fear and uncertainty. I think during these events, it was the only time I can talk and think about myself, on how to move on in my life. The road is everyone’s way, so at the same time, I have to stay focused on my road and move, so to finish the race, or else you will suffer from the consequences. Yet, I am still required to move forward but it will be harder this time. Along the way, you will encounter bad vibes but some will help you move forward. But no matter what happens along the course, it will still be your own highway, and it is all about you on how you are going to move on with your life. With the help of those who surround you and the way you treat any negative encounters, you will achieve your goal. Running has been my way to sort out things and move on with my life.

During the recovery year, I found myself very vulnerable to any stuffs. Now that my Recovery Year is about to end, I will (and must) be back to my old self as a dreamer, serious, witty and an ideal person. Like Tony Stark has said, "You gotta run before you can walk".... again in this life. =)

Sorry for not updating my blog lately. Now that 2011 is almost over and I'm not that too busy in the coming days, I'll be posting some thoughts and things that I would like to share with you all. My 23rd Birthday Celebration

Yeah, this is my "CHALLENGE" that I was trying to point out in my last 2 posts. And it seems Elaine won the mini-contest haha, she greeted me (in advanced) even though I changed my Birthday details on my two friendster accounts and yeah, and no other else greeted me on that day(except the ones with me that day), This time I didn't announce my upcoming birthday to anyone (and to have a mini-get together thing) unlike my past birthdays. So what happened?

1) This will be my first overseas birthday celebration and its in Singapore.

2) At 12AM on my birthday, I was on a Taxi locked in a Traffic Jam in Singapore going to Bradell and in Woodlands. When I arrived, We had a mini-celebration, a mini-cake to be blown and some gifts from my boss' and I liked them.
3) Then we went back home to Manila at about 9PM and then me and my family had a dinner thing at Aristocrat in Manila.

Alterations On The Path

It seems there have been a lot of changes in me nowadays, and so is the title of this post.. hahaha. I may post in here as always as I can now since I can now access internet at home.

Well, I will be posting some random thoughts (or revelations haha) on my blog reflections as to why I would like to do some alterations on the path that I planned since when I graduated from

San Sebastian College.

Also, I have an upcoming challenge to those readers of this blog especially to my tropakitz hahaha will reveal it on my next posts.

My 2005-2006 Summary of Events

Time is so fast, I can't even reach it everytime I ran into it. Well I just would like to summarize all of the things that I went to from mid 2005 till mid 2006.

1) I was appointed as the newly in-charge of the overall technical guy of my company during September 2005.

2) I've been into drinking a lot during the last quarter of 2005.'

3) I've met different types of people in different scenarios, gimmick style or business trips.

4) At least I was able to get along with my Idol, Parokya Ni Edgar at Inno Bar!!!

5) I had my very first International Trip to Singapore and stayed there from Dec. 3, 2005 till Dec. 22, 2005. It was sort of a training to enhance my I.T. Skills.

6) I met the other MVC2 Singapore players and challenge them... they're pretty good! Trust me.

7) I also had a mini-get together with my former classmates in MaSci High School at Orchard Road, Singapore, and its nice meeting them again.

8) I have joined many MVC2 Tournaments lately and consistently being part of the semi-final round. Highest place I got is 3rd place I think.

9) I have finally settled my account to BASTE.
10) I got a brand new Nokia Cell Phone (N6630) with 1 Gigabyte of memory and I love it. Hahaha.

11) Me and my friends went to Baguio City (In Kirt's place) and stayed there for 3 Days. It's like a get together thing for the Power 5.

12) I'm a certified latecomer again.

13) I'm a certified "Matakaw" in foods.

14) I went to Singapore again last March 23, 2006 - April 8, 2006, yah anot

15) I'm chubby nowadays, I have a large bulk in my stomach and its really annoying. But its ok since it was my first time being a chubby person. And others said I looked better today than the last 15 years..... Hahaha

16) This results into being a more Chinese / Korean lookalike pinoy nowadays...

17) And lastly, I'm feeling always lonely as life goes on.... That's the worst part.

So after 6 years, ngayon ko lang na-edit itong post ko. Hehe! To summarize, my college tropakitz attended my birthday celebration in Inno Restaurant & Bar located @Sgt. Esguerra near ABS-CBN. I was sooo thin during those days (kitang kita naman sa pic.. hehe), thanks sa mga pumunta and thanks Kirt for bringing your 3.2 megapixel camera.. :)

My Obstacles

During my adventure, (actually I will be having my 3rd month stay in Tanco Asia this coming June 21), obstacles always get into my daily actions.

First, my cough is still there beside me, and its been 4 months already and I can't work with 100% output because of this.

Second, I take vitamins everyday, resulting into sleepiness during work hours, But I can avoid that but still its one of my hindrances.

Third, I always sleep at 2 AM, because I will be coming from Alabang, then go to our Computer Shop in Manila to check my emails, study "Alchemy Software" and many more. I still don't have my own PC (maybe thats the reason).

Fourth, I'm hopeless when it comes to transportation tactics, like for example I wake up at 6:00 am(which is early for me), and will be leaving home for work at 7:00 am, depending on my transportation, I will be coming to my office late at 8:15 am. But if I leave my home at 7:30 am, depending on my transportation, I arrive to my office at around 8:00-8:15 am. Also, everytime that I will be looking for Taxis, they're not around, or they will reject my destination place. That's really kinda irritating for me.

Fifth, In relation with the previous message, I can say that I'm a certified latecomer! (Considering that I'm the best latecomer in my High School) I always come to my office at around 8:05 - 8:30 am. I'm still trying to adjust my punctuality this month.

Sixth, I'm very expensive nowadays! If I am hungry, I'll eat to any restaurant near me. If I don't like to take a bus or jeep, I'll just take a cab.

I hope these obstacles will gone in the next few months, I know that in order to change all of these, I must do the first move.

My New Work

Well, I just want to inform you all that I'm now employed in Tanco Asia Group of Companies, Philippines Inc. as the Technical Guy (I'm the only one that represents the I.T. Department) . I started working just a week before my college graduation date (March 16, 2005). I graduated in my beloved alma mater, San Sebastian College - Recoletos de Manila with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Cum Laude honors.

Tanco Asia composes of 4 sub-companies, namely Outbox Worldwide Express which specializes more on the mail and paper solutions, Crest Ultrasonics Philippines, Inc. which provides solutions on machinery, Tanco which focuses on giving technical and non-technical solutions using some unique tools and gadgets, Techportals Philippines, one of the best documents and data management architects of the country. Techportals also has a branch in Malaysia, specifically in Penang. Another one owned by my bosses (a couple) acts like the entertainment side of the companies is INNO Restaurant and Bar which is located in Sgt. Esguerra Ave. Quezon City near ABS-CBN. We always gather there every friday nights and we report all of our tasks that have been done for that week to the bosses, after that.... wollaaa. INNO MAN NA....... :)

Honestly, I find myself being pressured as of today but I'm always making it as a challenge for me. Oh yeah, I'm still young and I still have so many things to learn pa. I'm still sick right now since February but I'm recovering. Currently, I have 9 projects with all of these sub companies but I know anytime it will neither decrease nor increase.

Okies.... next time I'll continue posting my 2-month adventure in Tanco Asia and anything else.

My Uncanny Hearts Day

Well, I woke up at around 10 am, prepared myself and went to my college even if I really have no classes to attend to. Then I saw girls and ladies, carrying loads of roses and reddish stuff. Ohh my.......... I almost forgot that today is Valentines Day! Well, Instead of buying roses, chocolates for my love ones, I prepared all of the things that will be needing in the upcoming IT Challenge of our organization.

It was tiring, in the sense that I started walking at 11 am, roaming around the school till 2 pm. I ate a petite-sized lunch. Then, I went to UE Manila and my mission was somehow successful, then next was San Beda. Duhh, the IT Head was absent and they couldn't let me in the campus. Then I went to Adamson, DAMN! There was no classes!!! Hmmm so I continued walking to Taft Ave. and then I met my college friend (EJ) . I went to PCU, well, the situation was somehow similar to what happened in UE Manila.

It was already 5:00 pm, so I will not be able to go to La Consolacion and FEU anymore. Instead, I went to Times Plaza, and chatted with my friends there. Of course I played at the arcades, it has been my life ever since when I was a child! Then at 7:00 pm, I scheduled my client to see me at 8 pm. NetQuest Computer Company to show the venture that I had made for him. After that, I said "Another Satisfied Customer!". But then, Hey, today is Valentines Day! Well, this day is kinda boring and weird for the so called "Hearts Day" but I should say that at least I have done something that is beneficial to our org and to my experience. Well, maybe next year it will be a different "Hearts Day" for me.
